Safety Karl Joseph among 15 players signed by Pittsburgh Steelers to practice squad

PITTSBURGH -- Former first-round safety Karl Joseph was among the 15 players signed to Pittsburgh's practice squad Wednesday.

Joseph, who visited the Steelers earlier this year, makes for a solid depth signing for a team that coveted safety help in the offseason.

After visiting Pittsburgh, Joseph ultimately returned to the Raiders, the team that selected him the first-round of the 2016 draft, on a one-year deal. The West Virginia product initially spent four seasons with the organization before signing with Cleveland as a free agent in 2020.

Joseph, who has 49 career starts and recorded an interception in each of his five seasons, appeared in 14 games with the Browns last season, starting five.
