Russini Believes T.J. Watt’s Contract Extension Will Not Top Myles Garrett’s Deal

T.J. Watt is heading into the final year of his contract. Both the Steelers and Watt seem happy to continue his time in Pittsburgh for as long as possible. There’s not any doubt at the moment that Watt will finish his career as a Steeler. With that said, how much is Pittsburgh willing to pay him on his next contract?

Dianna Russini and Jacob Robinson of The Athletic weighed in on that Monday and don’t believe he’ll make as much as his divisional rival, Myles Garrett.

“He [Watt] still plays at an elite level but turns 31 in October and is in the final year of his contract,” Russini and Robinson wrote.
