The Pittsburgh Steelers announced their team captains for the 2024 season on Monday, as voted by their teammates. Headlining the group of four is new Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson, who was officially named the team’s starter just last week.
He joins defensive veterans Cameron Heyward and T.J. Watt, as well as safety Miles Killebrew as the special teams’ captain.
The appointments of Heyward and Watt as captains were unsurprising. Heyward, the 2023 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner, has been named a team captain in each of the past 10 seasons.
