The Pittsburgh Steelers and their quarterback room have been one of the most talked about headlines around the NFL this offseason. And while many fans are debating whether or not Russell Wilson or Justin Fields should be the starter, Mike Tomlin made it clear that Wilson had the edge heading into the offseason program and training camp, but that Fields would be given the opportunity to compete for the job.
Wilson is coming off a season in which he threw 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions while finishing eighth in the NFL in passer rating. His 26 touchdowns were more than all three Steelers quarterbacks combined from a season ago, and Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report expects an even better year from Wilson in 2024.
