Rosenhaus Confesses: Says Raiders QB, HC, Willingness To Redo Contract Played Big Part In Brown Trade

The Pittsburgh Steelers traded wide receiver Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders Saturday night in exchange for their third and fifth-round selection in this year’s draft. If that destination and compensation shocked you, it probably really shouldn’t have. After all, Brown wasn’t going to allow himself to get traded to just any team and he certainly wasn’t going to allow himself to get traded to a team not willing to redo his contract and thus give him more guaranteed money and once again make him the highest-paid at his position.

During a Sunday interview on the NFL Network, Brown’s agent Drew Rosenaus, effectively confessed that their weren’t really any serious contenders to trade for his client when it came to those that could meet the wide receiver’s needs and contract demands.
