Top 10 and Top 100 lists generally don’t do much for me. They are just someone’s opinion. Who really cares? But the NFL Network’s list of Top 100 players, based on voting by the players themselves, was interesting to me in a couple of ways. One was Le’Veon Bell’s interview with the network after coming in at No. 5. Two was analyst David Carr’s opinion that Ben Roethlisberger no longer is a Top 10 quarterback.
Carr’s rankings lost some credibility with me because he has his brother, Derek, at No. 4 behind Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees.
