On Tuesday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell finally commented on the league’s recent appeal of Judge Sue L. Robinson’s six-game suspension handed down to Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.
While attending a Tuesday league meeting that was centered around formally approving the Denver Broncos’ new ownership group, Goodell was asked to comment on why the NFL decided to appeal Robinson’s decision and why the league is seeking a suspension of at least a year for Watson.
“We’ve seen the evidence, she was very clear about the evidence, she reinforced the evidence,” Goodell told ESPN. “There were multiple violations that were egregious, and it was predatory behavior.
