Ladarius Green’s touchdown catch against the Giants last weekend was one to remember.
It was a milestone play, his first touchdown in a Steelers uniform, and it restored a 14-point lead late in the third quarter after the Giants made it a one-score game.
But it’s the story behind the play that lends some insight into the newest target for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
The Steelers were in the no-huddle offense and Roethlisberger gestured toward Green with a hand signal. Green, the free agent addition who missed the first eight games with an ankle injury, digested the information and got wide open for one of the easiest touchdowns of his career.
