Robert Golden Injured in 2-minute Drill During Wednesday’s Practice

Robert Golden went and stayed down after a 4th-and-10 completion to Antonio Brown at the 13-yard line in the Steelers’ two-minute drill. Golden was down for a little more than a minute, loudly in pain.

The fourth-year safety was helped off the field by his teammate as he limped heavily before leaving the sideline of Chuck Noll Field on a cart.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said he’s being evaluated.

First-choice safeties Shamarko Thomas and Mike Mitchell were again out of practice and fellow safety Ross Ventrone, who has been out since Day 2 of camp with a lower right leg injury.
