When the Pittsburgh Steelers arrived at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe for the start of training camp, head coach Mike Tomlin updated the off-the-field status of running back Le’Veon Bell, who is currently facing a four-game suspension for reportedly violating the league’s substance abuse policy. While Bell was informed about his suspension sometime in March, Tomlin said the running back’s appeal would happen in August and that he didn’t know exactly when. Monday, a date of sorts surfaced.
According to Alex Marvez of the Sporting News, the Steelers should know the outcome of Bell’s appeal by their second preseason game August 18.
