Report: Steelers signing former OT Jerald Hawkins

The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing former fourth-round draft pick from the 2016 NFL draft Jerald Hawkins according to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle.

Steelers are signing offensive tackle Jerald Hawkins off of the Texans' practice squad to their active roster, according to a league source. Hawkins is a former Steelers fourth-round draft pick

Hawkins spent Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season on the practice squad of the Houston Texans. Traded by the Steelers to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the beginning of the 2019 season, the Steelers received Tampa’s sixth-round draft pick in exchange for the Steelers seventh-round draft pick both in the upcoming 2021 NFL draft.
