After suffering a Lisfranc injury early last week during a training camp practice, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Senquez Golson had surgery on Monday to repair the damage, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Golson, who could be out for nearly four months, will likely be placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured list in the coming weeks. They will, however, need to wait until after their third preseason game to do so unless they are willing to expose to him to waivers prior to that.
Thanks to a rule change this past offseason, the Steelers can decide at a later date if they want Golson to be their designated to return player.
