While the Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t likely to have starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert this Sunday for their home game against the New York Jets, it doesn’t appear as the mid-foot injury that he suffered Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs will end his season.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, Gilbert is expected to miss the Sunday home game against the Jets, however, his left foot/ankle injury is not a worst-case scenario and thus he should be able to return in a reasonable amount of time.
Gilbert suffered his injury in the first half of the game against the Chiefs when his got trapped underneath a pile of falling players.
