Report: Commanders Releasing DL Jonathan Allen, Adding Another Free Agent Option For Steelers

Just under two weeks after attempting to try and trade him, the Washington Commanders are releasing veteran defensive lineman Jonathan Allen, adding a big name and a productive player to the free agent market.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Commanders informed Allen of his release Friday morning, giving the former two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle a chance to get into free agency early before the start of the legal tampering window on March 10 and the start of the new league year on March 12.
