The Cleveland Browns, after a bit of a shakeup on the offensive coaching staff last week, are expected to add former NFL running back and former Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers’ position coach Duce Staley to the coaching staff, according to a report from CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson.
Staley was previously set to interview with the New York Jets for a role on the coaching staff of head coach Robert Saleh, but according to Anderson informed the Jets that he’d be joining the Browns.
It is unclear in what role Staley is expected to be hired for by the Browns, as Cleveland has an opening at RBs coach and offensive coordinator after letting go of longtime RBs coach Stump Mitchell and offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt.
