Ravens lead AFC North, but analytics say Steelers are favorites

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens lead the AFC North with seven games remaining. They hold the tiebreaker over the Pittsburgh Steelers after beating them earlier this month.

So, why aren't the Ravens considered the favorites to win what many consider to be the worst division in football?

Baltimore (5-4) has a 31.3 percent chance of winning the AFC North, according to ESPN's Football Power Index. That's decidedly lower than the 49.8 percent chance given to a reeling Pittsburgh team that has lost four in a row.

It's more of a reflection of the Ravens' upcoming opponents than the Ravens themselves.
