Ben Roethlisberger pulled on a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and threw the football at practice Friday, Darrius Heyward-Bey said.
The Steelers’ star quarterback has been a sprained AC joint and what he said were torn ligaments in his right shoulder since being slammed to the Paul Brown Stadium turf by Vontaze Burfict in Pittsburgh’s Wild Card win over the Cincinnati Bengals last Saturday.
As of Wednesday morning Roethlisberger hadn’t thrown a football since, but Friday marked the first time players said he did as the Steelers held their final practice before Sunday’s 4:40 p.m. divisional playoff game against the Denver Broncos.
