First shared by Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers have moved right tackle, Marcus Gilbert, to the NFC’s Arizona Cardinals in exchange for a sixth-round pick. This moves comes only hours after the team announced the tackle will be placed on the trading block.
After missing most of 2018, Marcus Gilbert was one of many players the Steelers were concidering moving on from. The successful tackle has spent his entire career in Pittsburgh, but after dealing with injuries over the last few seasons, the team has found new talent at the position.
Matt Feiler’s progress last year somewhat nudged this decision, as the team believes he can replace Gilbert on the right side of the line.
