After trading center Lucas Crowley for former Washington Redskins’ cornerback, Dashaun Phillips, the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed center, Ruben Carter.
Carter may not be expected to compete for much, as the team is already two weeks into the preseason. But with injuries issues keeping starting center, Maurkice Pouncey out at times throughout his career, the team may be looking to bring Carter in as a safety net.
Carter went as an undrafted free agent last May before signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Miami Dolphins. However, Carter was waived during the first round of roster cuts.
