With Ben Roethlisberger at the helm, he has seen a number of backup quarterbacks come and go throughout his tenure. Brian St. Pierre, Dennis Dixon, Charlie Batch and Landry Jones...just to name a few. Throughout it all, the depth at the position never really mattered as long as No. 7 was upright and healthy.
However, in a recent ESPN article the author attempted to rank the quarterback position from a depth chart perspective in what they called ‘QB Confidence Rankings’.
