This newly created distinction of recognizing individuals who have “contributed greatly to the history of the franchise.” The Steelers has announced its group of inductees for the second year.
Starting last year the Hall of Honor will serve as a “tribute” to the many individuals that helped make the Steelers the 6 time Super Bowl champions. Each nominee will receive a “solid steel football that replicates the original given to Steelers founder Art Rooney Sr. by the United States Steel Corporation and the United Steelworkers in 1982” (Steelers.com) and a plaque displayed in the Heinz Field Fedex Great Hall.
