A day after the Penguins promoted three of their hockey operations members, one of their business executives is getting a promotion as well.
It was announced by the Penguins Wednesday that Kevin Acklin, 46, has been named President of Business Operations. Acklin has spent four seasons with the Penguins, most recently serving as the team's Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel the past two seasons after joining the organization as Senior Vice President in 2018.
President of Hockey Operations, Brian Burke, will remain in his role as President of Hockey Operations.
“I am deeply humbled and honored that our Fenway ownership group is putting their trust in me, and I will forever be indebted to David Morehouse for hiring me and teaching me how to best lead this organization,” Acklin said.
