As Mike Tomlin once said, never say never but…never. That’s a fair way to characterize the odds of QB Russell Wilson playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025. With Aaron Rodgers officially in the door, even if he’s yet to sign, it’s the latest and surest sign that the Steelers are moving on.
Joining Rich Eisen Friday, NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero unofficially closed the door on Wilson’s return.
“Nothing shocks me, Rich, but I would be very surprised if Russell Wilson under any circumstances back in Pittsburgh,” Pelissero told Eisen shortly after the news of Rodgers’ visit broke.
