Payton Wilson Suffers Injury Against Bills

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie LB Payton Wilson left the team’s preseason game after an eight-yard run by Buffalo Bills RB Ray Davis in the third quarter of Pittsburgh’s preseason game against the Bills.

It appeared to be a leg injury for Wilson, who was tended to by trainers on the field but seemed to be moving fine while walking off the field with trainers. However, the actual nature of the injury is unclear. Wilson has an injury history that was one of the reasons why he fell to the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and that includes an ACL tear that he suffered in college, so obviously there’s some additional worry if it is indeed a leg/lower-body injury for Wilson.
