Art Rooney II said a lot of things to the media this week that suggest he is either being a good company man or he didn’t pay attention to what went on with the Steelers this season. His words suggest that there is nothing wrong, nothing that needs to change and that many of the teams issues and controversies were overblown. He also suggested that the Steelers defense isn’t so bad, especially when you take a look at the state of defenses in the NFL these days.
That all sounds like company man stuff, to me, because Rooney is not completely blind, nor does he lack intelligence.
