If the New England Patriots want to win another Super Bowl championship this season they’ll have to do it without running back LeGarrette Blount.
Blount, who has gained 703 yards and 6 touchdowns on 165 rushes this season, will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list by the Patriots on Wednesday with a hip injury. Blount suffered that injury during the Sunday night game against the Houston Texans.
Blount, who started the 2014 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers after signing a two-year contract earlier that offseason, was ultimately waived after 11 games after he walked off the field disgruntled prior to the game against the Tennessee Titans ended.
