Patriots and their mystique await the Steelers in Foxborough, Mass.

Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy had to go through the New England Patriots to win his Super Bowl title. After falling short against the Patriots in the 2003 and 2004 playoffs, Dungy said the Colts had to get over the “Patriots mystique” if they were going to beat them in the 2006 AFC title game.

“You have to play them and not their mystique, and that’s hard to do,” Dungy said in the days leading up to the game.

After spotting the Patriots a 21-3 lead on their home field, the Colts came back for a 38-34 victory en route to their Super Bowl XLI victory.
