When the NFL announced the 2021 salary cap was dipping to $182.5 million, this a decrease from $198 million dollars, it means every franchise was going to have to make some hard decisions.
For the Pittsburgh Steelers, they had to make decisions on how they handled their own free agents and that would include Unrestricted Free Agents (UFAs), Restricted Free Agents (RFAs) and Exclusive Rights Free Agents (URFAs).
With RFA and UFAs, the tenders which usually accompany these players can be pricey for a team trying to not just get cap compliant, but to free up space to make more moves.
