The NFL Executive Committee has approved a number of tweaks to the CBA that could help the league move forward not only this season but in the future, as well, in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The changes, which include no adjustments to the salary cap in 2020 and setting the cap floor at $175 million in 2021, will now be presented to the NFLPA's board of 32 player representatives for a vote. If the proposed CBA passes, the deal between the NFL and NFLPA will be done and final.
