New York man charged with selling fake tickets for Steelers-Patriots game

Pittsburgh police have arrested a New York man accused of selling counterfeit tickets to Sunday’s Steelers-Patriots football game.

Reginald Sinclair Slocum, 27, was charged on Thursday with forgery, counterfeiting, theft by deception and other offenses.

A man contacted Mr. Slocum through a Craigslist advertisement and arranged to meet him Thursday afternoon in Downtown to buy the tickets, police said.

After the man bought the tickets, police said he noticed suspicious labeling and called Heinz Field to validate them. He was told they were fake, according to police.
