Najee Harris was one of several Pittsburgh Steelers free agents to sign elsewhere on the first day of legal tampering yesterday. While it’s tough to see good players sign elsewhere, several of them agreed to large enough contract to qualify for potential compensatory picks in the 2026 NFL Draft for the Steelers. Najee Harris was among them with an initially reported one-year, $9.25 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. Contract details have now emerged which could put that compensatory value at risk.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on X, Harris’ base salary is lower than expected with incentives included to raise it to the initially reported amount.
