Well, it was about time Pitt landed a Florida prospect in its 2018 recruiting class.
After signing seven recruits from the Sunshine State in February, coach Pat Narduzzi and the Panthers picked up a commitment Monday night from three-star cornerback Marquis Williams out of Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale.
Williams announced his decision during a commitment ceremony, choosing Pitt over Wisconsin and Minnesota. According to the Sun-Sentinel, in-state program Central Florida was also a finalist, while Penn State was once considered to be Williams’ leader. Williams has an impressive offer sheet including Clemson, Louisville, Michigan State and others, per Rivals.
