The Acrisure Stadium crowd has had a short leash this year. After chants of “Fire Canada” filled the stadium for much of the first half of the season, boos and calls for Pittsburgh Steelers backup QBMason Rudolph filled the December air tonight as Mitch Trubisky struggled in a pathetic 21-18 loss to the New England Patriots. After the game, Trubisky said the frustration was “understandable” via the Steelers’ YouTube channel.
“It’s understandable,” Trubisky said when asked about fan frustrations. “Played like crap in the first half. It is what it is. They’re frustrated, we’re all frustrated, but we did better in the second half to give us a chance.
