Mike Tomlin Should Have Considered the Bears’ Offer

According to a report this morning from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chicago Bears contacted the Pittsburgh Steelers about potentially trading for Head Coach Mike Tomlin. Schefter also reported at least one other team had also made similar overtures.

Not surprisingly, the Steelers said, “no thanks” to these offers. Mike Tomlin himself told the other 31 teams in the NFL to “save their time” and not bother pursuing him. Ultimately, Tomlin does hold the keys to this vehicle. He has a no-trade clause that he would have to waive in order for this to even be considered.
