ORLANDO, Fla — As a member of the NFL’s competition committee, Mike Tomlin says the league has taken immeasurable steps to improve player safety.
However, the Steelers coach doesn’t think the NFL does a good job of promoting what they’ve done in that area, referring to it as “bunker mentality.”
“I just think that we should highlight some of the things that we’ve done more than we have to this point because we have taken strong measures to improve the safety of the game for the players, and not only at our level, but at all levels,” Tomlin said Tuesday at the annual coaches breakfast at the Ritz Carlton resort.
