Mike Tomlin lauds Martavis Bryant's growth, 'excited' about role in 2018

PITTSBURGH -- Five months ago, Martavis Bryant was embroiled in self-imposed trade rumors and coming off a one-game suspension levied by his head coach over ripping teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster on social media.

The Steelers weren't pleased then, but they are throwing their support behind the talented receiver from the NFL owners meetings.

Assessing Bryant's 2017 season, coach Mike Tomlin said Bryant emerged a "much more mature guy" coming off the one-year ban for marijuana use.

“I thought he was a guy on the rise. I thought he improved," said Tomlin on Tuesday from the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes.
