Mike Tomlin ‘extremely comfortable’ with Justin Fields starting

Mike Tomlin announced that Russell Wilson would be the Pittsburgh Steelers’ starting quarterback against the Atlanta Falcons after the preseason concluded. This wasn’t surprising to many, as Wilson was given pole position entering the spring and did enough to hold onto the job entering Week 1. However, the Steelers may be calling an early audible at quarterback.

Russell Wilson was limited in practice with tightness in his calf - the same injury that kept him out for the early portion of training camp and the first preseason game against the Houston Texans.
