Mike Tomlin addressed the Steelers health situation at his presser on Tuesday, and there are a few notable injuries to keep an eye on. The most significant of course, is safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who has missed Pittsburgh’s last four games with a hamstring injury.
Tomlin utilized one of his favorite catchphrases when referring to Fitzpatrick’s status, saying “we’ll leave the light on for him.” He also mentioned that Fitzpatrick will practice in “some capacity” on Wednesday, and that he is “cautiously optimistic” about him suiting up.
It appears that the black and gold’s secondary could get a huge boost upon his return, as Damontae Kazee and Trenton Thompson can play more complimentary football around the line of scrimmage — and allow the leading man, Fitzpatrick, to be the ballhawk.
