Safety Mike Mitchell didn’t win over too many fans during his first season in Pittsburgh. Mitchell, who came to Pittsburgh from the Carolina Panthers on a 5-year, $25 million free agent deal, had his ups and downs on the field and a forgettable moment off the field when his bickering with fans on Twitter reportedly causing the Steelers to tell him to stay off social media. Mitchell revealed after the season that he had been playing with two groin tears, although he says that while it’s not an excuse and that the injuries weren’t bad enough for him to sit out, it did make a difference on his play.
