Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant said coach Mike Tomlin told him he will not play Sunday against the Lions in Detroit.
The reason Tomlin gave him was his comments on “social media.”
Bryant said he was not fined by the Steelers. He ran with the scout team Wednesday and took no snaps with the first team.
Bryant and his agent have requested the Steelers trade him. He has been unhappy with how he has been used since his return from a one-year suspension for violating the NFL’s drug policy multiple times. He said if he is not traded by the deadline Oct.
