Martavis Bryant was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth-round of 2014 NFL draft from Clemson University. As a rookie, the young wide receiver was inactive for the first six weeks of the season. In week 7 against the Houston Texans, Bryant’s first NFL reception was a 35-yard touchdown. It provided the necessary spark that the offense needed and gave quarterback Ben Roethlisberger a surprisingly talented athlete.
It seemed like the entire world stopped on March 14, 2016. Reports surfaced that Bryant would be suspended for the entire 2016 NFL season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
