There were plenty of penalties in the Steelers-Bengals game Sunday, but the only fines the NFL doled out for misconduct were administered to Steelers players.
Right tackle Marcus Gilbert was fined $9,115 for an unnecessary roughness penalty against Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict, and defensive end Stephon Tuitt was fined $9,115 for his face mask penalty against Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.
The NFL did not fine Burfict, who had three questionable hits in the game. He was penalized 15 yards for throwing Ben Roethlisberger to the ground after he handed off. He head butted Roethlisberger after the play, and he hit fullback Roosevelt Nix after Roethlisberger threw to another receiver.
