Know we’re nearly 10 days away from the Cleveland Browns’ loss and all of us, players especially, are looking to put that game behind them. It’s hard to blame them. But I couldn’t get past that game without mentioning one of my favorite play-calls from the game. It ended in an otherwise forgettable incompletion and didn’t even result in a blitz but is worth breaking down.
Verbiage varies but I know it as a “Rain” call. What it boils down to is a blitz call where two off-ball linebackers mug/line up in the A-gaps on each side of the center.
