Steelers coach Mike Tomlin did not offer any additional insight on the status of tight end Ladarius Green, other than to say he is in concussion protocol after taking a hit to the helmet in the comeback victory Sunday in Cincinnati.
Green was injured on a tackle by Bengals safety George Iloka after catching a 28-yard pass on third down in the fourth quarter that allowed the Steelers to run out the clock in a 24-20 victory. He was undergoing a test Tuesday with UPMC sports concussion specialist Mickey Collins as part of the concussion protocol process.
“We’ll follow the [concussion] protocol to the letter as we always do,” Tomlin said Tuesday at his weekly televised news conference.
