It is difficult to determine which Detroit Lions team the Steelers will find Sunday night at Ford Field — the one that opened the season with back-to-back double-digit victories or the one that has lost three of its past four games.
And it might be curious which Steelers team the Lions will see in the nationally televised game — the one that allowed two opponents to rush for more than 200 yards in a three-game span or the one that shut down two of the NFL’s hottest offenses the past two games.
But one thing both teams can expect to see when the Steelers return to the site of their Super Bowl XL victory in the 2005 season: One of them will score on some type of return, whether on defense or in the kicking game.
