One year after struggling with injuries to his lower body and watching a reworked offensive line struggle after the losses of key veterans to free agency, retirement or injury, Pittsburgh Steelers’ third-year left guard Kevin Dotson is feeling rather confident and comfortable working with some new faces within the offensive line room along the line and in the coaching ranks.
Gone is veteran guard Trai Turner, who provided valuable leadership to a young group last year, as is coaches Adrian Klemm and Chris Morgan, who left for Oregon and the Chicago Bears, respectively. In steps Pay Meyer as the new offensive line coach, and veterans James Daniels and Mason Cole, who came over from the Bears and Minnesota Vikings in free agency, giving the Steelers a significant boost in the trenches while trying to rebuild on the fly.
