The Steelers signed three players to futures contracts Monday, including the son of Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr.
Trey Griffey, a 24-year old receiver, signed along with receiver Tevin Jones and running back James Summers.
Griffey played at the University of Arizona and went undrafted in 2016. He spent time with the Colts and Dolphins during last spring and summer but did not make a 53-man roster or practice squad last fall.
At Arizona, Griffey had 79 receptions for 1,241 yards and six touchdowns in his college career. His father and grandfather, Ken Griffey, were born in Donora.
