When the Pittsburgh Steelers lost defensive end Cameron Heyward earlier in the season to a torn pectoral muscle the defense needed several other players to step up and take his place. One of those players was second-year defensive end L.T. Walton, who the Steelers drafted in the sixth-round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Central Michigan.
As was expected, Walton played very few snaps on defense during his rookie season that included him only dressing for six games. Quite honestly, the 29 defensive snaps that Walton played during his rookie season were quite painful to watch and especially the five that played in the Week 7 regular season game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
