Russell Wilson is not practicing for a fourth consecutive day to start training camp due to an injured calf. And while it is being painted as not a serious injury and more precautionary than anything, it is opening the door for Justin Fields to continually gain ground on Wilson in the quarterback race.
Fields is having a good training camp thus far while running with the first team. On the opening day of camp, he hit Van Jefferson down the sideline for a 40 yard score during 7-on-7s, and he hit George Pickens on a deep ball in the middle of the field between two defenders for a score, as well.
