Justin Fields Glad He Was Able To Show Steelers ‘Just What I Bring To The Table’

He played just two series against the Detroit Lions Saturday inside Ford Field in the preseason finale, but fourth-year Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback Justin Fields ended the preseason on a high note, leading the Steelers’ offense to a touchdown, capping off his preseason in style.

While Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin was noncommittal on the starting quarterback job following the 24-17 loss to the Lions to wrap up the preseason, stating to reporters that he’ll make the decision later next week after another work week, Fields — who spoke to Steelers.com’s Missi Matthews on the field after the game — stated that he’s just happy he was able to show the Steelers want he brings to the table at the position, regardless of what happens from a decision standpoint under center.
